About us

Rethinking assistive care one carer at a time

We’re an Australian team of engineers, designers, and manufacturers with a shared mission: to make assistive care simpler, safer, and more dignified for the people doing it, often alone.

With backgrounds spanning healthcare, defence, and advanced manufacturing, we bring deep technical expertise and a practical mindset to assistive tech. We're not just building equipment, we’re solving the everyday challenges faced by single carers in real homes.

Every Behn® solution is designed, built, and supported locally, with built-in battery backup and mechanical fail-safes for 24/7 reliability. And when help’s needed, our Australian service network is close by and ready to respond.

Our background in defence, automotive, and precision manufacturing shapes everything we do. We’ve channelled that expertise into building assistive technology that’s practical, robust, and made to scale.

Each Behn® solution is designed, developed, and manufactured in Adelaide using our Australian supply chain, including steel and aluminium. Tested in real-world care environments. Patented, proven, and made for everyday life.

Our Partners
As a South Australian-made product, Behn proudly supports the Buy SA. For SA. initiative—championing local innovation, creating jobs, and strengthening our state’s economy. Built right here in SA, our all-in-one care solution is designed and manufactured locally to reduce freight, lower emissions, and ensure the highest standards of quality and safety.
We’re also an official partner of Occupational Therapy Australia, working alongside OT professionals to support safer, more independent care. Together, we’re championing better outcomes for clients and carers through collaboration, innovation, and shared values.
This project is supported by Aged Care Research & Industry Innovation Australia (ARIIA), funded by the Australian Government Department of Health, Disability and Ageing.
