Aging in place isn’t just a preference, it’s a priority

Most older Australians want to stay in their home as they age. Behn supports ageing in place with an intelligent system that brings together key functions of typical aged care equipment—reducing the everyday demands of home-based care and making ageing at home more practical and sustainable.

A smarter approach to aged care lifting equipment

Depending on your care needs, Behn replaces the need for multiple devices by combining a bed, shower chair and commode into one connected system—helping make daily movements like getting in and out of bed, bathing, and toileting more manageable, with less lifting and strain for carers.

Let's clear things up

Do you have questions?

What's involved in setup and installation?

Our team supports you from initial assessment through to installation and setup—ensuring you feel confident using Behn as part of your senior care routine. Designed to provide home care help without disruption, it fits easily into your existing space and daily care practices.

What if my OT, GP or provider needs information?

We’re here for them, too. We provide an OT Toolkit, clinical justifications, and joint demo sessions. Whether your support team includes a GP, OT, or someone from an aged care provider, we’re here to help them assess whether Behn is right for your home care aged care needs.

Can I rent Behn to try it at home first?

Yes. Many families want to see how Behn fits into everyday care before making a decision. That’s why we offer flexible rental options—so you can try it at home and see how it supports caring for your mum or dad, a spouse, or a loved one, without any pressure to commit.

Can My Aged Care fund Behn?

If you're eligible for a Home Care Package via My Aged Care, Behn may be covered. We work with your aged care provider or aged care agency to ensure OT assessments and clinical justifications are included.

Can Behn be funded through the Home Care Package (HCP)?

Behn may be eligible for HCP Levels 2–4. We provide documentation to support your OT assessment, aged care provider, aged care services at home, or support coordinators to help with documentation, funding requests, and anything else needed to make the process smoother for you.

Can I reduce the need for multiple carers with Behn?

Behn is designed to support single-carer use in many home care situations. Depending on the individual’s needs and environment, it may assist a spouse, adult child, or in-home caregiver to manage daily transfers with less reliance on additional equipment or external support. It’s one way to help make home-based care for the elderly more manageable.

Does Behn replace other aged care equipment?

Behn is designed to reduce equipment clutter by integrating the core functions of a hospital-style bed, lifter in aged care, commode, and shower chair for elderly users into one connected system. In some home care situations, this may reduce reliance on multiple separate items—like a movable shower stool, bath chair, or lifting device—offering a more streamlined approach to personal care and daily transfers.

Is Behn easy to use for family members or informal carers?

Behn is designed with real families in mind—not just professionals. Its intuitive controls and thoughtful features are built to support carers for elderly loved ones at home, including spouses and family members. In many home care settings, it can help make elder care more manageable, offering support with daily transfers and routines without the need for specialised equipment training.
